About Charles Chiniquy

Charles P. Chiniquy (30 July 1809 – 16 January 1899) was a Canadian Roman Catholic priest who became a Presbyterian pastor. He pioneered the town of St. Anne Illinois with French speaking immigrants from Quebec Canada. Chiniquy clashed with the Bishop of Chicago, Anthony O'Regan, over the bishop’s treatment of Catholics in Chicago, particularly French Canadians, and led his flock away from the false doctrines of Catholic Church to the true biblical faith of Jesus Christ. An introduction to Charles Chiniquy on this site. His famous book, Fifty Years in the Church of Rome.
