   Your conclusion that the Founding Fathers were opposed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ is witness to your lack of study about those men. You mustn’t cast a new false view of our beloved Founding Fathers because of an opinion. Use facts.

   • Chere, you canNOT go by a quote or two from a person and make a judgement call about him or her! You are obviously ignorant about the men you quoted from! It’s common knowledge that Jefferson cut out all the miracles of Jesus from his Bible! You call him a Christian? He was an unbeliever, and do were everyone else you quoted from. None of them believed in the Deity of Jesus Christ! They were all Freemasons. The real Christians in America didn’t like them. They opposed the election of Thomas Jefferson. Please study some good history for the real facts about these men.

     • Yes, I read that Thomas Jefferson rewrote the Bible as did Adolph Hitler but after WWII most of the copies of Hitler’s bible were destroyed. A few managed to survive though and show that the Nazis changed the Ten Commandments. It’s likely Hitler was not even a true believer in Catholicism because he got too heavily into the occult and even had the Nazis spending huge sums of money to locate occult power in Tibet. The Bible says we are fooled by appearances and it’s true people are good at hypocritically manipulating appearances to achieve goals. The Nazi Round Table discussions reveal that the Nazi leaders were looking at ways of wiping out Christianity. Aryan supremacy was not comparible with evangelism which teaches Yeshua’s followers to love everyone. Grace is greater than race.

       Masonry is also found to have influenced other groups like the Jehovah Witnesses and Mormonism. The founders of those two religions, Charles Taze Russell and Brigham Young were both freemasons. Russell is even buried under a pyramid within rock throwing distance of a Masonic Lodge. Like Jefferson, Russell and Brigham Young both changed the Bible. The Jehovah Witnesses have their Watchtower Bible that changes certain words in the Bible to match Russell’s theological ideas while the Mormons added to the Bible which Revelation says not to do. Galatians 1 says not to accept Bible updates. Chris Pinto has youtube videos showing how the popes messed with the Bible, too.

George washington attributed his survival at an ambush as he helped british troops from french native american allies to God. of the 85 officers Washington warned of an approaching ambush spot- the british commander scoffed insisting thats not how wars were fought. Washington was the only officer of the 85 standing, multiple horses shot from under him, bullet holes in his hat, and his cloak, every native warrior that could targeted him, years later saying he was protected by the great spirit.

   Jefferson did not believe the bible exactly, not uncommon- and he reassured voters that the seperation of church and state meant the state would not interfere with their religion. In fact as governor he passed laws punishing businesses that did not observe religious holidays.

   The fathers were mostly religious rationalists, with some orthodox. The deist movement greatly influenced educated men of their time. So they were moving to a personal belief in God combined with science advancement and rational thought…which many people today simply call Christianity (though the term old world may be used to the many believers who accept evolution and a several billion year old planet and do not use the book of genesis as a literal explanation nd treat it as a physics text. The defense of genesis as literal is a fairly new convention- st thomas aquinas and others saw it as a beautiful metaphor)

   As Thomas Payne said “I believe in one God, and no more; and I hope for happiness beyond this life. I believe in the equality of man; and I believe that religious duties consist in doing justice, loving mercy, and in endeavoring to make our fellow-creatures happy.”

   Sam Adams, John jay, also president of the american biblie society, Elias Boudinet, who wrote a book on Christ’s 2nd coming, Patrick henry, who was known for distributing bible pamphlets. Basically all of the founding fathers with few exceptions were either Christian believers influenced by the enlightenment and deism- moving from a catholic view to an individual view that allowed for rational human thought, or they were orthodox. But todays standards almost all would be labelled Christian.
