1. There is ample evidence that the earth is flat. There is no need to resort to such extravagant experimentation as suggested by the pilot. Indeed, if the earth were a globe, airliners would not be able to fly on a flat and level path. Any pilot will tell you that once a plane gets to its cruising altitude, the pilot “levels off” and flies in a straight and level path. Indeed, the pilot uses the horizon to ensure that the plane is flying level. When visibility is poor, the pilot will use the instruments and fly a level heading, using an artificial horizon. Either way, at all times the plane flies level, once the pilot reaches cruising altitude. If the earth were a globe, the pilot would have to constantly adjust the heading of the plane and dip its nose down to keep a constant altitude. However, the earth is in fact flat, so if a pilot dipped the nose of the plane down, to adjust for the supposed curvature of the earth, he would find that he is losing altitude. If the pilot kept on that downward trajectory, the plane would crash into the earth. The fact that no such downward adjustment is made by pilots for the supposed curvature of the earth is proof that the earth is flat.

   The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) assumes a flat earth when training pilots and air traffic controllers using their Target Generation Facility (TGF). The TGF consists of several software programs that control simulation scenarios, using simulated aircraft. The TGF computer simulator drives almost all of the air traffic control laboratories at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center. The FAA states: “Our lab has worked closely with the TGF group to have aircraft perform the way air traffic controllers would expect them to behave in the real National Airspace System (NAS). The simulated aircraft in TGF are quite realistic representations of their real-life counterparts.”

   The FAA publication explains that in order for the software to accurately replicate the behavior of aircraft during flight over the earth, the software running the TGF simulator assumes that the earth is flat.

   • Mr. Hendrie, I appreciate your stance against Covid-19 vaccines. But I cannot agree that there is abundant evidence that the earth is flat. I’m from Chicago, I lived in the Russian Arctic from Winter to Summer, and now I live in the tropics. I can tell from personal experience the difference of the hours of daylight between summer and winter is vastly different in the tropics compared to the Arctic. In Guam, the length of daylight is only 1 hour and 35 minutes less on December 21st compared to June 21. In the Russian city of Murmansk in the Arctic circle where I lived, the difference between daylight between summer and winter is 24 hours of darkness in most of December and January, and 24 hours of daylight in June and July. My knowledge of geometry tells me this is only possible on a spherical-shaped earth. And if that weren’t enough, just the fact that 24 hours a day 1/2 of the earth is continuously illuminated by the sun while the other half is in darkness is more than enough evidence for me that the earth must be round. It is only your interpretation of Scripture that tells you the earth is flat. No teacher of God’s Word who I follow agrees with that interpretation of the Bible.

2. So phenomenal logical is the answer according to the catholic church.I’m not getting into an argument here but show me where are all the chapters and verses on heliocentricity,I’m not talking about flat earth but there are many verses on being geocentric not the sun.

   • The Bible doesn’t teach us physics, it teaches us the Words of Life, Jesus, salvation through grace through faith in what our Creator tells us through His Word! It teaches is about God’s moral laws, and everything we need to know to live a happy and productive life on earth serving the King of Kings, Jesus Christ. The writers God used to produce the Bible were not inspired to write about things of the natural world that were beyond their own worldview and knowledge base. The Bible doesn’t talk about air pressure, gravity, oxygen, nitrogen, sound waves, electromagnetic radiation, etc. and yet science has proven those things to exist as parts of God’s creation or its laws of physics. At least they have been proven in my mind. Newton’s law of gravity based on mass make sense to me, and if true, it also makes sense for the earth to orbit around the sun just like the moon orbits around the earth. Can I prove that? No. Can I prove anything in the Bible either? Not to an atheist. I think it’s divisive to insist like some there is no such thing as gravity and therefore Newton’s laws are not true and the earth is therefore the center of the universe. Why don’t the naysayers of the concept of gravity violate its laws? They know they will hurt themselves by jumping off a building. Either they don’t think things through, or they’re hypocrites.

     To sum up, we can’t use the Bible as a text book of physics. The Lord intentionally slowed down man’s technology by the confusion of tongues in the Tower of Babel!
     Genesis 11:6  And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.
     7  Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.

     If the Bible did indeed teach science, man’s technology would have advanced so quickly to the point he would have destroyed himself centuries ago with nuclear weapons!
