The Papal System – V. Christendom at the Beginning of the Seventh Century

The Papal System – V. Christendom at the Beginning of the Seventh Century

In the estimation of Gregory and the other leading bishops of his day, that no prelate had any authority from God to be the master of his fellow-bishops; that in all fundamental matters the bishops of the Christian world were on a common platform.

The Papal System – IV. Councils For Seven Centuries Repudiate Papal Jurisdiction

The great councils of bishops of the first 700 years after Christ, knew nothing of the spiritual supremacy of the bishops of Rome. One Pope, Honorius, was even denounced by a council as a heretic!

The Power of the Pope

James Japan avatarPosted on January 9, 2025 by James ArendtJanuary 9, 2025
The Power of the Pope

The Pope leads this huge global institution of the Catholic Church. There’s over a billion Catholics. He has ready access to them through encyclicals, through sermons that priests and bishops give. So because of that, and because I think he’s sort of prominently dressed and presented as a religious figure in a world that takes that seriously, he’s surrounded by a media circus of incredible intensity and attention.

Tom Friess – Romanism and the Reformation Part 2

H. Grattan Guinness has given us a thumbnail sketch of the rise of Antichrist from the fall of the pagan Roman Empire and the Caesars, the restraining power that was holding back the rise of Antichrist. Once the Caesars and the old pagan Roman Empire was destroyed, up rose in its place the man of sin, the son of perdition, the biblical, historical, and prophetic Antichrist of the Bible, the papacy.

Rome and Civil Liberty – Part II. The Papal Aggression

Rome and Civil Liberty – Part II. The Papal Aggression

HE SHOCK of the French Revolution convinced the Church of Rome, that in the slumber in which she had passed the eighteenth century, she had rested her mitered head upon hidden fires, and that she must rouse herself, and strike for her old dominion, or be swept out of existence. Accordingly, so soon as peace had returned to Europe, the Jesuits came forth from their hiding-places, and concocted that plan for reducing Britain under the yoke of Rome which they have ever since been pursuing with great astuteness and most astonishing success.

The Seventh Vial Chapter XII. War With The Witnesses

James Japan avatarPosted on December 3, 2024 by James ArendtDecember 16, 2024
The Seventh Vial Chapter XII. War With The Witnesses

The slaughter by Rome of fifty millions in the space of six hundred years gives a rate of upwards of eighty thousand every year. Had Rome but once, during her career, consigned eighty thousand human beings to destruction, a deed so cruel would have been enough to stain her annals with indelible infamy, and to confer on her a terrible pre—eminence in blood.

The Seventh Vial Chapter XI. Avenging Power of the Witnesses

And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth and devoureth their enemies; and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed. These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy, and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to smite the earth with all plagues as often as they will.

History of the Papacy Chapter VI. The Canon Law

The system has been converted into a code. It exists, not as a body of maxims or principles, though in that shape its influence would have been great: it exists as a body of laws, by which every Romish ecclesiastic is bound to act, and which he is appointed to administer. This is termed CANON LAW.

History of the Papacy Chapter IV. Rise and Progress of the Temporal Supremacy.

A crowned priest now sat upon the Seven Hills of Rome. To occupy a seat overshadowed by the loftier throne of the emperors would not satisfy the vast ambition of the pontiffs, and accordingly there was now commenced the struggle for the temporal supremacy.

History of the Papacy Chapter III. Rise and Progress of the Temporal Sovereignty.

The process by which the nations of Europe, from being pagan, became Christian, may be adequately likened to the contrivance by which the statue of Jupiter at Rome was converted from the representative of the prince of pagan deities to the representative of the prince of Christian apostles, Peter.

How The Popes Treated The Jews – By Leo H. Lehmann

The Roman Catholic Church is the greatest source of antisemitism. Jews were persecuted by Catholics through the centuries which is why Jews continue to hate Jesus when it was really persecution from Satan.
